  1. E-books marked as "available" can be accessed immediately. Check your e-mail account for an e-mail with the activation key!

    Each printed book marked as "available" is generally ready to ship within 24 hours. Shipping times will depend on your shipping address:

    • U.S.A.: 3 to 8 business days
    • Canada: 3 to 10 business days
    • E.U.: 2 to 8 business days
    • other countries: 2 to 20 days

    Orders for products that have not yet been published or are temporarily out of stock are put on backorder. These orders will be shipped as soon as the product becomes available. We make an effort to inform you about the publication dates and delivery times of our products as soon as possible.

  2. We use a variety of shipping methods for printed books, depending on the destination and service level you choose. Generally, we work with USPS (Asendia for international shipments), UPS, and DHL. Our fulfillment partners are NFS (National Fulfillment Services) in Aston, PA, and VVA (Vereinigte Verlagsauslieferung) in Gütersloh, Germany. You can choose between standard and express delivery
  3. We are constantly working on optimizing our shipping services and fees. Currently, we charge the following flat fees, regardless how many books you order:
    • U.S.A.: $4.99 (standard), $14.99 (express)
    • Canada: $14.99 (standard), $24.99 (express)
    • E.U.: $11.99 (standard), $24.99 (express)
    • Non-E.U. countries in Europe: $29.99 (standard), $49.99 (express)
    • Mexico: $34.99 (standard), $44.99 (express)
    • Central and South America: $39.99 (standard), $69.99 (express)
    • Africa, Asia, Australia: $49.99 (standard), $69.99 (express)
    Please understand that shipping physical products internationally, within a reasonable timeframe, is expensive. To save on shipping costs, we encourage you to consolidate orders or to order e-books.   4. The shipping fees are based on the number of shipments. If you place an order in which one product is available right away and another product can only be preordered, additional shipping fees apply for the second shipment.
  5. You can choose between the following options:
    • MasterCard
    • Visa
    • PayPal
  6. No, we do not charge you any additional fees.
  7. Your card or account will be charged on the day we ship the book. This also applies to preorders. If you preorder a book that ends up being cancelled (yes, this happens, unfortunately), your card will not be charged.
  8. We generally ship world wide.
  9. We hope to offer this feature soon.
  10. Most likely you preordered a book that has not yet published. Please make sure to check the publication date of each item that you order. This date is shown on the web catalog page of the product, during the order process, in your confirmation e-mail and—if you created one—in your customer account.

    Due to various reasons, however, these publication dates can change. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  11. In this case, you will receive two shipments: the available product right away, and the second one as soon as it becomes available. You will receive a separate invoice/receipt for each shipment.

  13. Yes, this can happen: A manuscript is not finalized on time, editing and reviewing the text takes longer than expected, or something went wrong at the printer… We always try to give you as up-to-date information as possible about the publication date on the product’s catalog page. We announce these dates to the best of our knowledge, but we cannot guarantee them.
  14. Unfortunately, this is not possible. However, you will find the table of contents for each book on our website along with extensive reading samples, as soon as they are available. See also: Service for Press and Educators.
  15. If you need a new or updated invoice (for example, in order to add your tax I.D. number or change your address), please contact our customer service with a copy of your order (order confirmation, package slip, invoice) via e-mail or phone.
