Event-driven architecture lets your applications react the instant something changes. Learn how SAP Event Mesh can make your SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) apps event driven in this course! Starting from a local CAP project, you’ll see how to connect to SAP Event Mesh using CloudEvents formatting and the transactional outbox pattern. Then use expert-led demos to understand how to design a two-service producer/consumer integration with idempotent handlers. The day closes with a reliability test, where you’ll learn how you can set up your integration to recover automatically after a failure.

Prerequisite: Attendees should have working knowledge of CAP (CDS data modeling, service definitions, and the Node.js runtime), comfort with JavaScript/Node.js, and basic familiarity with SAP BTP subaccounts and SAP Business Application Studio. The following topics are out of scope: CAP fundamentals from scratch, SAP Integration Suite/Cloud Integration flows in depth, SAP HANA-specific or ABAP-based event handling, in-depth XSUAA/security configuration and production monitoring setup, and deep Solace/AMQP broker administration. If you need more information about the learning level, please feel free to ask us.
