The authors of »Introducing Transportation Management in SAP S/4HANA«
Stefan Sauer works in product and solution management for SAP as a global business developer and industry solution manager for the transportation industry. He is also a trainer for SAP TM for both functional and technical training courses, and he studied international business information technology at the Cooperative State University in Mannheim, Germany. He joined SAP in 2007, and gained experience as a part of development and consulting teams in Germany and with SAP Research in Australia.
Beginning with the ramp-up of SAP Transportation Management 8.0 in 2010, Stefan accompanied the software product as an SAP TM consultant for 6 years, being involved in implementation projects in retail and ocean freight industries and participating in customer engagements in other industries such as fashion, rail, air freight, and manufacturing. He has supported projects both from a business process perspective by creating blueprints and implementation concepts, and from a technical perspective as the link between project and custom development.
Dr. Bernd Lauterbach is chief solution architect for end-to-end transportation solutions in the SAP industry business unit Travel & Transportation (IBU T&T). His professional objective is support of worldwide and regional logistics service companies (carriers, forwarders, 3/4PLs, and others) in making their business run better and more efficiently by use of innovative SAP software solutions.
Before supporting the logistics industry, Bernd worked in SAP transportation development for 13 years as a development manager for SAP Event Management, SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure, and SAP Transportation Management, before developing parts of SAP ERP LE-TRA, where shippers have been the focus.
Bernd studied and received a PhD in electrical engineering from University of Bremen. His panoramic view and knowledge of logistics processes helps customers to identify synergies, innovations, and opportunities for improvement.
