  1. Interesting indeed

Posted by Richard Griffith on Sep 27th, 2011

As with Dana, I too, with over 14 years SAP implementation and maintenance experience did get a few pointers out if this book. Even though you might think you know quite a lot, there are always some surprises.
A few bits I would have liked to be able to discuss immediately with the author. Who knows maybe sometime in the future.
And to see that even Naeem Arif was surprised by the book is very impressive.
    Good work John.

  2. Very useful addition to the collection

Posted by Naeem Arif, on Jun 13th, 2011

I was a little hesitant when picking up the book thinking that I would find maybe a handful of new tips and tricks, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the book covered a lot of new things which I did not know. Certainly worth the money for this well put together title.

  3. Excellent.

Helpfull book, mainly for the day by day activities.
    I strongly recommend this book.

  4. I just thought I knew it all!

Posted by Dana Keith on Dec 29th, 2010

With 12 years of experience as an SAP CO consultant, I am pretty confident in my knowledge of the module. But this book was full of surprises, even in areas I thought I knew well. Each idea you read will inspire you to say with conviction either "I knew that!" or "I didn't know that!” Either way you will confirm or expand your ability to effectively apply the CO module. The layout of the book is systematic and logical, with chapter headings for each major sub-module of CO. John has a gift for setting the context for each idea using concise descriptions and comprehensive summaries. Rather than just give one option or method, John manages to list multiple options and to find the best fit for each one. I found the references to OSS notes very helpful. This technique allowed more ideas to be covered in the book, while giving the reader the chance to dive deeper. The coverage of the Material Ledger is robust, perhaps a bit too detailed in comparison to the rest of the content. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to solidify their knowledge of the CO module. The price is well worth the hours it can save in those vexing areas of CO where a little tip can make a big difference!
